I'm so excited to be a part of the new Facebook DT for GCD Studios!! How fun that I finally get to share a project with you! Today I get to share my theme project. The theme was Silk & Feathers. Doesn't it even just sound elegant to you! It makes me think of Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire...so dashing and elegant. This was our inspiration:
I hope I was able to capture the elegant feel of the inspiration. Instead of actual feathers, I decided to use bird images on my projects. I love the bird images that are popping up everywhere and they seemed just perfect with what I wanted to accomplish. Could this GCD Studio's Sunny Brocade paper from the Lydia Collection be any more perfect?! The flocked brocade just screams elegance to me. I wish you could all just reach out and feel it. It is so fabulous to work with! So without further ado here are the cards I created:
And some close ups so you can hopefully capture the feeling of the flocked brocade with the silk:
Thank you all for sharing in my excitement with me!!
Hugs,
Cheryl
