Exciting News for me!!! *City Crafter Challenge Blog*

Hi all!!! I have some exciting news to share!! I have been asked by City Crafter Challenge Blog to become part of their DT!!! I am so excited to work with the other amazing designers! Every week is a new challenge and a new guest designer hosted by the DT members. The themes are varied and so fun! I hope you will join with me and play along with the fun challenges. This week the theme was recipe card---the recipe being to use one bow, two papers and three flowers on your project. I went literal and made an actual recipe card. You WILL want to try out the recipe, by the way, it is one of our family's favorites. So Yummy!!! Here is the link to the challenge site: http://www.citycrafter.blogspot.com/

More May Flowers with GCD Studios **TUTORIAL**

I'm back again with even more May flowers! I hope you love them as much as I do. This time we're featuring GCD Studios products. Without further ado, here are my creations:

I would like to share with you how to make embellishments for your projects out of a simple photograph, as I did on both of these cards. Here is your tutorial:

Then you just print and cut out what you want to use on your project!
Here are some close up images of the embellishments:

I hope this is something you can use and have fun with on your own projects and that your day is filled with sunshine and flowers (*even if only in your heart)

Want Some May Flowers?! *Digital Doodles*

I love, love, love, LOVE flowers! I can't seem to grow them, but I can definitely use them on projects and I gotta tell you I REALLY LOVED using the latest digital stamp (*Field Flowers*) in Kathy Martin's Digital Doodles line! Aren't these flowers just fun and funky?! I plan on using them on a card, too, but for now I thought it would be fun to see them BIG and use them on a lo. This is my cutie patootie granddaughter Kylee playing with a little tea set I got her for Christmas. My daughter says she just loves it and plays with it every day. As soon as she opened it she went straight for the "chocolate cake"...a girl after my own heart! The teapot plays music and also has little phrases it says. So fun! Hope you are having a fantabulous week and are enjoying some flowers of your own! Hugs, Cheryl

Moxie Fab World Tues. Trigger + 2S4Y

Hi all! Just felt like creating a card using the Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger. I really loved the fresh, clean feel of the color palette. Kazan's sketch with those amazing little ruffles at the bottom seemed like a perfect match for the trigger...so voila...a card is born. Hope you all are having a fantabulous week!

Meowy Friend *Digital Doodles*

Well, Kathy has done it again! She has created ANOTHER adorable stamp. How does she do it week after week?!! I just LOVE creative people...they amaze me! Anywho...
As soon as I saw the little cat and bird on Kathy's stamp, I thought about the cat and the bird being friends and how it is sometimes the way you are different than your friends that makes the friendship so great. I found this little quote that I thought fit with that idea:
You were the one that made things different
You were the one who took me in
You were the one I could count on
Above all you were my friend.
I hope you all are enjoying your friendships today! Hugs, Cheryl

GCD Studios May Theme *Happy B-day Alena*

Yeah, it's time to post my May theme project!! The theme was to make a project using gradient color...so cool! Our inspiration was this:

Today is my sweet baby girl, Alena's 15th birthday so I wanted to do a layout of her for my project. She doesn't look like much of a baby girl anymore does she...gasp!
She brings such JOY to us and I always want her to find JOY in her life...not just happiness or pleasure, but real JOY! I hope you enjoy what I came up with!
Here are some close ups:

I hope you all are feeling JOY in your life today and had a wonderful Mother's Day yesterday! It was so amazing to talk to our daughter that is in Paraguay! And now we celebrate today our daughter that is at home with us! Life is GOOD!
Hugs,
Cheryl

Happy Mothers Day!! *2S4Y Laura 51*

Happy Mothers Day!! I created this card using Laura's sketch 51 at 2S4Y. My own mom passed away 17 years ago so this card I created for my mother-in-law. Her favorite color combination is red and black and so I wanted to make a card using those colors for her. I hope you all have a fabulous Mothers Day and are able to share it with those you love. I am so excited because I get to hear from my daughter in Paraguay. It is one of the two times of year that she gets to call home. Yippee!! Hugs, Cheryl

Home Sweet Home **Digital Doodles**

I don't know about y'all but every week I can't wait to see what fun new stamp Kathy will come up with. The new stamp for this week is Home Sweet Home. So cute! I've colored and printed out Thanksgiving and Halloween versions of this stamp, too, by just changing the colors. I'm working on creating cards for them today. I also have plans to print out a whole row of these little cuties to use on a lo. I'm just having so much fun playing. Hope you enjoy! Hugs, Cheryl
