Good Monday Morning ALL! Wishing everyone a HAPPY week! I had a little bit of a chance to play around this weekend with my scrap materials and created this layout with two of my favorite photos that my youngest daughter took and photoshopped She is taking a photography class at school right now. I am pretty much in LOVE with that eye photo. Hope you had a chance to be creative this weekend, too. Have a FAB wekk ALL! HUGS, Cheryl
Hi ALL! I'm excited to be the hostess this week for City Crafters Challenge Blog
and I have picked for a theme "A Little Rough Around the Edges". Sometimes a
little roughness adds interest and beauty to someone or something. With that in
mind...our challenge to you is this...add a little burlap on your project
somewhere. I just love the look of burlap...that little bit of roughness...of
texture it can add to a project. Sooooo don't bescared to be a little rough
around the edges and grab ahold of some burlap and get going. I can't wait to
view your projects this week! If you need a little inspiration make sure you head over to CCCB...our Guest Designer, Michelle, and ALL our DT members have outdone themselves this week! Please go check out thier GORGEOUS projects. Speaking of GORGEOUS...our sponsor this week is Little Things
for Cute Creations. Such a LOVELY, LOVELY etsy shop! You are going to definitely want to play for the prize of a $15 gift certificate! So don't worry if your project this week is a little rough around the edges...that is just the way we want it!
**Computer update- Just want to give a BIG shout out and THANK YOU to my son-in-law for fixing my computer! The virus was indeed nasty...going all the way into the computer recovery system. He had to completely take EVERYTHING off my computer and then add back those things that were just the most important after checking and re-checking that all was clean. Thank goodness he found my photos and we were able to save them.
Hi ALL! I am sorry I'm a little late, but VERY THANKFUL to even be posting. My computer has a NASTY virus and I'm just trying to save the things I have before it completely crashes and half the time I can't even get on the computer. Soooooooo, hopefully I can get it fixed and still keep up with blogland. If you don't hear from me in the next couple of days you will no why. I'm VERY HAPPY to share the fun new challenge from City Crafter Challenge Blog with you...Just A Hint of Pink...brought to us by Linda! Your challenge is to make a project using Black, White or Grey, with a hint of pink. The color of
your project could be all black, all white or all grey, or you could use 2 or 3
of these colors together, but don't forget the hint of pink! I LOOOOOOVE this challenge and can't wait to see your GORGEOUS creations! Be sure to check out ALL the LOVELINESS from our Guest Designer, Sheila, and ALL our DT members! You can be a Guest Designer yourself as that is our prize for the winner of the challenge this week! Hope you decide to play along! HUGS, Cheryl
Hi ALL! It is City Crafter Challenge Blog's 2cd Birthday this week and for our challenge we are casing a project made by one the our DT members from any week...week 1 - week 103. For my post I cased one of our fabulous founder...Kirsty's card from week #27. I just can't stop with that, though...soooo I want to case our other DT members...Linda and Ros as well. So here is what I came up with casing Linda's FAB card from week #54. Here is Linda's AMAZING card (I just LOOOOVE this grid design) and you can find the original post HERE:
Now here is my take on Linda's card:
I made this card with the idea to use it for the CREATE blog Spring Card Challenge.
Stay tuned for my case of one of Ros' FANTABULOUS creations. Hope you are joining in on the challenge. It is just too FUN! Hope you are having a SPECTACULAR Friday the 13th...no BAD LUCK at all! HUGS, Cheryl
Have you ever started a project with a specific idea of how it is going to look and then it just kind of takes over and the end result is COMPLETELY different than your original idea? That is what happened to me here:
My original intention was to case Linda's CCCB card from week #54 (which I'm still going to do so I won't show it to you now), but this lo had a different direction that it wanted to go. Sooooo, it ended up being a just for fun project. I really like the way it turned out, but I still want to case Linda's card because I love it. So watch for that tomorrow. Hope you are having an absolutely FANTABULOUS day! HUGS, Cheryl

So let's get crafty!!!! For my project this week I cased Kirsty's card from week #27 (original post found HERE):
This is Kirsty's card.
And here is my interpretation:
You absolutely HAVE to check out the work of our FABULOUS GENIUS Guest Artist Lauren and ALL the creations of our DT this week! So FUN to see what they cased and what they created!! I CAN NOT WAIT to see what you will choose to case and what creations you will come up with!!! SO FAB!!! Get over to CCCB and come join the PARTY!!! The winner this week will receive a $10 Gift Certificate from the WONDERFULLY GENEROUS sponsor...Pixie Dust Paperie!!!
Hi ALL! I'm back with the last of the gift sets I made. I actually made all of these sets for someone who bid on them for a service auction we did at my church. The auction was so much fun. Every one that came wrote down a service that they would provide for someone else (dinner, babysitting, hand made items, treats, cleaning, etc.) and then we bid on the items we wanted. There was no money involved...you bid with points you received. The point system was, for example, if you brushed your teeth today you get 5 pts...stuff like that...so everyone had plenty of points to bid with. At any rate one of the services I offered was to make three custom made gift bags with matching tags and cards. So I made these gift sets for the person that won that bid and I had such a good time making them.
Hope you are having a FANTABULOUS day today! HUGS, Cheryl
Hi ALL! Just wanted to share another gift set with you. I made three so I will share one more with you today and then the last one with you tomorrow. I had a lot of fun making these. I hope you are out there creating and having fun, too!
Hi ALL! It feels so good to back playing again with City Crafter Challenge Blog! Ros is our hostess this week and had a FAB challenge for us. The theme is Hats Off To You and the challenge is easy...create a card or project with either a Hat on it ... Or the word Hat Or Both. I can't wait to see the fun projects you create!! For a little inspiration just mosey on over to City Crafter Challenge Blog to see the AMAZING projects created by our Guest Designer, Sheila, and ALL the rest of the Design Team. This week's prize package is sponsored by our lovely DT member Ros Crawford. It is truly lovely and you are definitely going to want a chance to win it! I created a little gift set for my project...matching gift bag, tag, and card.
Hmmm...I wonder what you ALL will create! Come play along! Have a FAB day and HATS OFF TO YOU! Hugs, Cheryl
“Anyone who imagines that bliss is normal is going to waste a lot of time running around shouting that he’s been robbed. The fact is that most putts don’t drop, most beef is tough, most children grow up to just be people, most successful marriages require a high degree of mutual toleration, most jobs are more often dull than otherwise. Life is like an old time rail journey…delays…sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling burst of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride.” ― Gordon B. Hinckley
