My Pretty Princess

Good Monday Morning ALL!  Wishing everyone a HAPPY week!  I had a little bit of a chance to play around this weekend with my scrap materials and created this layout with two of my favorite photos that my youngest daughter took and photoshopped   She is taking a photography class at school right now.  I am pretty much in LOVE with that eye photo.  Hope you had a chance to be creative this weekend, too.  Have a FAB wekk ALL!  HUGS, Cheryl

A Little Rough Around the Edges **CCCB**

Hi ALL!  I'm excited to be the hostess this week for City Crafters Challenge Blog  and I have picked for a theme "A Little Rough Around the Edges". Sometimes a little roughness adds interest and beauty to someone or something. With that in mind...our challenge to you is this...add a little burlap on your project somewhere. I just love the look of burlap...that little bit of roughness...of texture it can add to a project. Sooooo don't bescared to be a little rough around the edges and grab ahold of some burlap and get going. I can't wait to view your projects this week!  If you need a little inspiration make sure you head over to CCCB...our Guest Designer, Michelle, and ALL our DT members have outdone themselves this week!  Please go check out thier GORGEOUS projects.   Speaking of GORGEOUS...our sponsor this week is Little Things for Cute Creations.  Such a LOVELY, LOVELY etsy shop!  You are going to definitely want to play for the prize of a $15 gift certificate!  So don't worry if your project this week is a little rough around the edges...that is just the way we want it!
HUGS, Cheryl
**Computer update-  Just want to give a BIG shout out and THANK YOU to my son-in-law for fixing my computer!  The virus was indeed nasty...going all the way into the computer recovery system.  He had to completely take EVERYTHING off my computer and then add back those things that were just the most important after checking and re-checking that all was clean.  Thank goodness he found my photos and we were able to save them.

Casing Linda! *CREATE blog Spring Cards Challenge*

Hi ALL! It is City Crafter Challenge Blog's 2cd Birthday this week and for our challenge we are casing a project made by one the our DT members from any week...week 1 - week 103. For my post I cased one of our fabulous founder...Kirsty's card from week #27. I just can't stop with that, though...soooo I want to case our other DT members...Linda and Ros as well. So here is what I came up with casing Linda's FAB card from week #54. Here is Linda's AMAZING card (I just LOOOOVE this grid design) and you can find the original post HERE:
Linda's card

Now here is my take on Linda's card:
Cheryl's card

I made this card with the idea to use it for the CREATE blog Spring Card Challenge.
Stay tuned for my case of one of Ros' FANTABULOUS creations. Hope you are joining in on the challenge. It is just too FUN! Hope you are having a SPECTACULAR Friday the 13th...no BAD LUCK at all! HUGS, Cheryl

It Kind of Got Away From Me

Have you ever started a project with a specific idea of how it is going to look and then it just kind of takes over and the end result is COMPLETELY different than your original idea? That is what happened to me here:
My original intention was to case Linda's CCCB card from week #54 (which I'm still going to do so I won't show it to you now), but this lo had a different direction that it wanted to go. Sooooo, it ended up being a just for fun project. I really like the way it turned out, but I still want to case Linda's card because I love it. So watch for that tomorrow. Hope you are having an absolutely FANTABULOUS day! HUGS, Cheryl

One More to Share

Hi ALL! I'm back with the last of the gift sets I made. I actually made all of these sets for someone who bid on them for a service auction we did at my church. The auction was so much fun. Every one that came wrote down a service that they would provide for someone else (dinner, babysitting, hand made items, treats, cleaning, etc.) and then we bid on the items we wanted. There was no money involved...you bid with points you received. The point system was, for example, if you brushed your teeth today you get 5 pts...stuff like that...so everyone had plenty of points to bid with. At any rate one of the services I offered was to make three custom made gift bags with matching tags and cards. So I made these gift sets for the person that won that bid and I had such a good time making them.
Hope you are having a FANTABULOUS day today! HUGS, Cheryl
