My oldest daughter and her family are coming tomorrow(YEAH!)for my granddaughter's first birthday and New Year's and it is house cleaning time for me. I am so looking forward to this New Year! Such a time of promise and hope and a clean slate. A whole new decade! Wow!

Merry Christmas!!!Kazan #41 2S4Y + Yummy Holiday Treat

MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL!!!!! This will be my final post until the holiday so wishing you all that is wonderful. You really MUST play over at 2 Sketches 4 You this week...they are giving away a RAK to anyone who leaves a comment about our amazing sponsor Starving Artistamps. Just say what your favorite line of theirs is on the 2 Sketches 4 You blog for a chance to win. Starving Artistamps is also giving 2S4Y participants an amazing deal, so hop on over there quick. You are also going to want to try Kazan's fun sketch! My second tag...woohoo!! I can see these are going to be as addicting as cards! A little bonus for you today...a yummy recipe. My tag is wrapped around what I gave as neighbor gifts this year and it is super yummy...a chocolate chip cheesecake ball...oh yum!

Here is the recipe:
Ingredients
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup confectioners' sugar
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips
3/4 cup mix of mini chocolate chips and heath bar chips
Directions
1.In a medium bowl, beat together cream cheese and butter until smooth. Mix in confectioners' sugar, brown sugar and vanilla. Stir in chocolate chips. Cover, and chill in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
2.Shape chilled cream cheese mixture into a ball. Wrap with plastic, and chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
3.Roll the cheese ball in mini chocolate chips and heath bar chips before serving.

I serve this with large pretzel sticks (the combination of salty and sweet is so yummy), graham crackers, choc. graham crackers and thin ginger cookies. The varieties are endless. You can roll it in nuts, or M&M's or oreo crumbs or wherever your imagination takes you and serve it with a variety of treats. I have found it is so yummy and very different than your normal cheese ball or dessert. It freezes well, too. I hope you enjoy!

Moxie Fab World Tues. Trigger

I wasn't sure I was going to get a chance to play along this week with the Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger, but I'm sure glad I was able to. I just fell in love with the pastel loveliness as soon as I saw it. Once again I was inspired by a color combination I wouldn't have thought of on my own for a Christmas card. Thank you Moxie Fab World and Nina Brackett for providing this week's Tuesday Trigger and inspiration! You still have a chance to play to so go on over to Moxie Fab World!

On the 12th DAY OF CHRISTMAS CARDS **GIVE AWAY**

On the 12th DAY OF CHRISTMAS CARDS I give to you the reason for the season. May the light of Christ shine in your life now and always. "At this joyous Christmas season men and women of faith turn their thoughts to our dear Savior who came forth from heaven to live on earth as a mortal man and to establish the kingdom of God. His glorious gospel reshaped the thinking of the world...To us He has said, "Come, follow me." We testify of the living Christ and as we follow Him, we shall have the Christmas spirit, not for one fleeting day each year, but as a companion always."
This has been my quote of the day for well over a day. I just love it. It is my wish for you this Christmas season and always. Thank you all so much for being supportive of this fun time for me. On the 11th DAY of CHRISTMAS CARDS **GIVE AWAY** TWO WNNERS ANNOUNCED!!**

On the 10th DAY of CHRISTMAS CARDS I give to you a little bit of silliness and laughter!! ENJOY!!! I would like to wish a happy birthday to my daughter Alisa today!! She is 24 today!! Happy Birthday Alisa!! I love you!!! Yes, we have TWO WINNERS announced today!! First off we have our next 50 comment winner............................................Jessica!!
And then we have our winner for guessing where my son would go on his mission. Just so you know I was way off on my guess. I did guess somewhere in the US which was correct. I was thinking somewhere in the south east, however, which couldn't have been more wrong. He will be going to the great north west of the US to the wonderful state of Washington. Specifically to the Washington Spokane mission. His mission actually includes a little bit of Canada so Danielle H wins with her generic guess of Canada. It will be a Spanish speaking mission. So now I will have two children on Spanish speaking missions. Luzma I will need your help! I can't believe tomorrow is our last day!! Thank you all so much for playing along and making this so fun!! It is possible we might have another 50 comment winner tomorrow...I wish I had a prize for you all! Thank you again so much!!

On the 10th DAY of CHRISTMAS CARDS **GIVE AWAY**

On the 10th DAY OF CHRISTMAS CARDS I give to you comfort. May your heart find comfort in the season. I hope if there is anything troubling you that it may be resolved or at least you will be able to find peace and comfort at this time. I want you to know that you are all in my prayers. If you have a specific prayer request let me know. I find such strength and comfort in prayer. When I know others are praying for me it is such a wonderful and comforting feeling. I also find strength and comfort being with my family. Some of you have shared some of the traditions you do at Christmas time with your family. I LOVE to hear about them. If you feel so inclined I would love to hear some more of your traditions with your comments. We have reached another 50 comments, but it was after I went to bed last night so I don't have a winner ready to announce yet. I'm about ready to go get my son from college today. It is pretty much an all day trip there and back. He has finished his finals a day early so he is coming home today. His mission call should be in the mail when we get home!!! So exciting!! He will open it tonight to find out where he will be serving. If you haven't made a guess yet do it today!! I will announce our next winner tomorrow along with the winner of the guessing where Ty will go on his mission! Hugs to you all, Cheryl

Questions Answered- A couple questions you asked. Connie asked how I did the Joy on the snowman cards the day before yesterday. Connie it is just a chipboard piece from Creative Imaginations that came that way. Luzma asked a few days ago about lifting the cards. Please do everyone. That is what they are here for. If you want to lift them directly and do them exactly like I have you are more than welcome to or if you just want to use them as a springboard for your own designs or if you just like looking or just want to win a prize...it is all good.

On the 4th DAY of CHRISTMAS CARDS **GIVE AWAY** 2cd WINNER **

On the 4th DAY of CHRISTMAS cards I give to you the joy of service. Whether it is the service of bringing someone treats, or singing carols, or sharing your smile or making someone a homemade card there is such joy in service. The two best Christmases our family has ever had were Christmases where we "gave up" giving gifts to eachother. One year in lieu of presents that we would give to eachother we gave to a family we knew would have had no Christmas. My kids were more excited to buy, and wrap and plan the Christmas for this other family than they ever had been opening there own presents. It was beyond description wonderful. Another year we were living in Houston, Texas and our oldest daughter was attending school in Utah. She had a job working at Radio Shack and had to work the day before and the day after Christmas and so could not come home. As a family we decided it was more important for us to be with her than to have presents. So the decision was made to fly out to Utah as a family and surprise her. She had NO idea we were coming. On the day of Christmas Eve we knew she was working at Radio Shack which was located in the mall. We peeked from a secure location and saw she was working the cash register which was toward the front of the store. We all carefully positioned ourselves outside the store against a railing, as the store was on the second floor of the mall. We just stood there and waited for her to notice us. We saw her glance out of the store and then go back to her customer. She then quickly glanced again and then once again before she truly realized it was us. Even though she was with a customer she could not contain her emotion and just burst into tears. Needless to say, our whole family did as well. To be honest the tears are coming again as I think about this. So I wish for each of you the joy of service, too.
I would love to hear your stories about service whether you have been the recipient or the giver. You don't need to leave a service story to be entered into the prize drawing, just any comment will do, but if you have a little time I would love to hear your stories. I know you have them.

**WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT**
We have reached 50 comments and are half way to reaching our second 50...wooohooo!!
So the drawing for the random prize package goes to................................

I did a drawing for those that made guesses as to where she would serve. My son now has that same desire and has put in his missionary papers. He will find out on December 11th where he will serve. It can be anywhere in the world that is open to proselyting...It could be here in the United States or across the sea. His sister is serving in Paraguay. Leave a guess as to where he is going anytime before December 11th and the person who is the closest wins. It will be the same prize as above ($25 cash or gift certicate + random goodies)

3. For every 50 comments accumulative during the 12 Days of Christmas Cards I will do a drawing for random goodies. This means that if I get 5 comments on Day One, 6 comments on Day Two...together that is 11. On the day it is a total of 50 comments from all previous days, all those names will go into a hat for the prize. If we reach 50 comments on Day 10 everyone who has left comments on day one-ten name will be eligible. If you left a comment everyday you would have your name 10 times in the hat. Every time I reach 50 comments another drawing will be held. So if I reached 50 comments on day 5 and another 50 comments on day 10...that would be two drawings. So tell your friends

On the 3rd DAY OF CHRISTMAS CARDS **GIVE AWAY**

On the 3rd day of Christmas Cards I give to you the blessing of simplicity. It is so easy to get caught up in all the hustle and bustle that we forget to enjoy the simple treasures of the season. So this is just a reminder to ENJOY. ENJOY the true meaning of Christmas, ENJOY your family, ENJOY everyday moments. These cards today are super simple and I hope they serve as an inspiration and a reminder that it is ok to simplify and ENJOY. Yesterday Susan asked about the big bows. Yes, they fit into envelopes. I just use an envelope slightly bigger than the card and they are good to go. I have sent Thanksgiving and Halloween cards with big bows in the mail and they were just fine.

Sweet Hay for a Bed...*2S4Y* **Give Away Note**

Time for another sketch from 2 Sketches 4 You!! This one by Laura you are going to LOVE!! You are also going to love our sponsor...Starving Artistamps. I flipped the sketch to highlight the oh so sweet stamps from them. This card is very different for me. I NEVER work in neutrals. I had every intention of coloring the stamps in and using color as I always do. Once I had the images stamped, however, I decided I liked them as they were. It seemed fitting for that sweet scene of the most sublime and humble event in human history. So, I decided to keep the whole card in neutrals. I hope you enjoy. Now, I hope you will enjoy the next 12 days on my blog. Time for my GIVE AWAY note.

**GIVE AWAY NOTE**
Starting tomorrow I will be celebrating the 12 DAYS of Christmas Cards with you. Each day I will post some of the cards I have made for this Christmas season. Don't worry, I won't post any of the ones you have already seen. I have had so much fun making them and wanted to share the joy with you all. Every day of the 12 Days of Christmas cards that you leave a comment your name will be put into a drawing. There will be a cash prize of $25 and also a lot of other goodies that I will put together. I will announce the winner on the 14th of December. There will be one other way to win an additional $25 cash prize + goodies. I'm feeling in a generous mood, so there will probably be a few other winners that I will announce along the way. I hope you will join me in the CELEBRATION and tell your friends! Hopefully you will receive a little inspiration along the way. Above are the card and sketch for 2S4Y and a sneak of one of tomorrow's cards.

Wishing You Blessings *2S4Y*

I love the sentiment on the card I was able to create this week using Kazan's great sketch at 2 Sketches 4 You and the sentiment on the stamps provided by our wonderful sponsor JustRite Stamps. I hope you are able to play along this week. I want to express that I sincerely do wish you all the blessings of the season. My heart is full of gratitude. I have been so richly blessed. In the past few months some miraculous things have happened to me and my family. I was able to find my sister who had been missing for 27 years and witness her reunited with our dad who just turned 90. I was able to be with my dad and so many family and friends as my dad celebrated his birthday. Many of you know that my daughter decided to serve as a missionary for our church. She was called to serve in Paraguay. She had been learning the language and other missionary training for the past two months. Today as I sit and type this she is on a plane headed to Paraguay. After 36 hours of travel she will arrive in Paraguay tomorrow afternoon at 5:00. At the same time she will be meeting with her mission president tomorrow in Paraguay, my son will be meeting with our church leaders here to turn in the paper work so he can also serve as a missionary for our church. He will find out in about 2 1/2 weeks where he will be serving. I have for the past five years had the amazing privilige of being the president of the organization in our church that works with the children ages eighteen months to 12 years. Yesterday I was released from that position and called into a presidency to work with the women of our church. My life is so full and rich and blessed. I say, really, can anyone be more blessed than I am? I love the Lord with all my heart and am so privileged to be able to serve Him in the smallest of ways and to watch my children want to give their all to do the same. I have been blessed with so many wonderful friends and feel blessed so much to work with Laura and Kazan and all of the DT members. I feel blessed by the support and encouragement you render. So........I wish you all the choicest of blessings with all my heart. Much love to you all, Cheryl

Literally, two sketches for you! I was able to create a sketch this week for 2 Sketches 4 You!!! So fun!! It is only my second one! I don't know how Laura and Kazan do it week after week. They are so amazing! Our fun sponsor this week is Creative Cuts and More. I just LOVE their products. I was privileged to work with them for World Card Making Day as well. Such fun stuff!! The first card and sketch are from Laura's sketch...isn't it cool?! Get your thinking caps on! The second card is from the sketch I created. I hope you all play along. I can't wait to see what you all create! Each and every week you inspire me! Hugs, Cheryl
