I'm back again with another project from GCD Studios! This one includes a tutorial.
I just celebrated my 49th birthday a couple of days ago and am just so lovin' the life the good Lord has blessed me with. I wanted to celebrate it with this lo:
I just LOVE the happy look these GCD Studios products bring because it is exactly how I feel about my life! Now I would like to share how the flowers on this layout were made. They are sooooooo easy and you don't have to look any farther than your first aid kit and pantry to create them. Yes, you read that right...your first aid kit and your pantry. Those flowers are created from.........................gauze!
It makes such a perfectly light and airy and texturely fabulous flower. You can leave them white if you like or you can dye them to create gorgeous yummy colors. This is where the pantry part comes in. I dyed some with Kool-Aid and some with food coloring. It's kinda like dying Easter eggs. You can also use alcohol ink. Want to know how?!! Well, here is your tutorial:
Look at all the loveliness you can create:
Here are some close-ups:
I hope you all feel like celebrating your life today! Hugs, Cheryl
