Happy Mothers Day!! I created this card using Laura's sketch 51 at 2S4Y. My own mom passed away 17 years ago so this card I created for my mother-in-law. Her favorite color combination is red and black and so I wanted to make a card using those colors for her. I hope you all have a fabulous Mothers Day and are able to share it with those you love. I am so excited because I get to hear from my daughter in Paraguay. It is one of the two times of year that she gets to call home. Yippee!! Hugs, Cheryl
Wow, I love that you created a circle card! Those roses are SOOO pretty and that is the cutest cherry paper!! I'm so glad you joined us this week. That always makes me happy! ;o) Happy Mother's Day, Cheryl. I know you'll cherish that special phone call!! ♥♥ Kay
oh wow, WOW, ♥WooOOooOoW♥! what an utterly beautiful and dramatic mother's day card! i ♥LOVE♥ that you've used laura's sketch, but made a ROUND card! of course i adorrrrrrrrre those roses... (& the pins are awesome!) ...but probably my favorite bit is that it's not specifically "mother's day" themed on the outside, so your mil can display it year-round as art...which i am POSITITVE is what she's going to do!!!
(ps: a very VERY happy mother's day to you--with extra bonus ninja mom points for generously sharing your "chickens" with the world in faraway/inaccessible places!!!)
“Anyone who imagines that bliss is normal is going to waste a lot of time running around shouting that he’s been robbed. The fact is that most putts don’t drop, most beef is tough, most children grow up to just be people, most successful marriages require a high degree of mutual toleration, most jobs are more often dull than otherwise. Life is like an old time rail journey…delays…sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling burst of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride.” ― Gordon B. Hinckley
