** note ** I have removed the image of this because it was just requested by Scrapbook Trends for their Christmas Cards Idea Book!! Yeah!! Thanks Laura & Kazan! I'm absolutely thrilled to have moved to the next round of the Ultimate Card Showdown at 2 Sketches 4 You!!!!! It's always so fun to work with the sketches that Laura and Kazan showcase and it is just the FUNNEST ever to be able to win some prizes, too! I thought this round's sketch was so fun. As soon as I saw it I thought lollipop. Sooooooo, with this round's sketch it is Christmas in June for me. I'm so happy to have my first Christmas card done for this year. I'm a notorious Christmas procrastinator, so it really is a huge deal for me to be getting a jump start on this. Normally, I don't get around to doing anything for Christmas until the end of November. It seems fitting to have a card for this round be a Christmas card, since it was just last Christmas that I got bit by the card bug. I got a wild hair to create my Christmas cards and I'm so glad I did. Every time I make a card I feel happy. I hope I've been able to spread a little joy, too.
“Anyone who imagines that bliss is normal is going to waste a lot of time running around shouting that he’s been robbed. The fact is that most putts don’t drop, most beef is tough, most children grow up to just be people, most successful marriages require a high degree of mutual toleration, most jobs are more often dull than otherwise. Life is like an old time rail journey…delays…sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling burst of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride.” ― Gordon B. Hinckley
