Cheryl gives to you...Home for the Holidays cards! To me there is something about Christmas that just says HOME. It is a feeling in your heart even when you can't be home. It will be a little different for us this year with two of our children not being with us. Ty is serving his mission in Spokane, Washington and Amanda is serving her mission in Paraguay. I hope that they have the feeling of home even though they won't physically be here. The BEST part of Christmas day for me will be our Christmas phone calls. We get weekly emails from our missionaries, but we only get to talk to them twice a year...Christmas and Mother's Day. I can't even tell you how excited I am to be able to hear their voices! What is your favorite memory of home at the holidays? Do you have a favorite card today? To have your name in the drawing at the end of the 12 days just leave a comment. If you would like to be in a separate drawing you can participate in the challenge and make a card that either has a home on it, the word home or symbolizes home to you. Hope you are making wonderful memories this year! Hugs, Cheryl
Beautiful cards Cheryl! My favorite is the brown and blue with 3 felt flowers and little house covered with snow, that so cute! I am happy that you'll get to speak to your kids over the phone soon, bet you miss them like crazy!
Today your cards are just gorgeous... and my fave is the 2nd card of yours... lovely colors with the blue felt snowflake.... cutest... i like it...xoxo
What a wonderful thing being able to talk with your children. What I remember about home was the wonderful smells from my mom's baking, cookies, pies, breads, and fruit cakes. Here is my link for my tags and gifts.
“Anyone who imagines that bliss is normal is going to waste a lot of time running around shouting that he’s been robbed. The fact is that most putts don’t drop, most beef is tough, most children grow up to just be people, most successful marriages require a high degree of mutual toleration, most jobs are more often dull than otherwise. Life is like an old time rail journey…delays…sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling burst of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride.” ― Gordon B. Hinckley
