On the 4th day of Christmas cards Cheryl gives to you...not four, but five Frosty Fun Christmas Cards! I thought I would make the theme of this day Frosty fun because my sweet daughter Alisa was born on a very frosty day! Happy Birthday Alisa!!! We lived in Provo, UT at the time as my husband was finishing up at Brigham Young University. It was soooooo icy and snowy and cold that night. We lived on a 2cd floor apartment with metal stairs that were completely iced over. Let me tell you it was some kind of frosty "fun" trying to get down those stairs in the middle of labor! haha! I would have to stand on the stairs with my hubby holding on to me during contractions and then proceed ever so cautiously down the stairs between contractions. It was a super quick labor and the Dr. almost didn't make it in time because of the snowy and icy conditions, but he made it just in the nick of time. What are your "frosty fun" memories?! Do you have a favorite of these cards?! Remember just leave a comment to get your name in the drawing at the end of the 12 days. If you missed a day, you can go back and comment on that. This will stay open throughout the 12 days. For a separate drawing you can participate in the challenges and make a card following the theme of the day and link it to the comments section. Wishing you a fun day whether the weather is frosty or not! Hugs, Cheryl
Cute cards! Love the little Polar bear. Making snowmen with my kids during those first snowfalls has always been a tradition and each one has his own unique story creating wonderful frosty memories :O)
Your cards are super cute! My oldest son was born in December, and we almost didn't make it to the hospital in time. By the time my husband parked the car and got upstairs after dropping me off at the hospital, I was ready to deliver! It was a quick birth :)
Hi Cheryl, I love your story! Amy, my first was born Dec. 27th. Two years later Anna, was born Dec. 14th. We lived out in the country and the hospital was 30 miles away. My husband always got me there even though the roads were not so good! But I still remember! I made a sweet Frosty! and I am now caught up! Both three and four are in the same post, hope that is OK? thanks for the challenge, YOu are keeping me busy making gifts and cards and tags for gifts. It is so much fun!
Love them all...my favorite is "Mr & Mrs Frosty!". Well we don't get snow very often in Louisiana. I do remember once when my oldest daughter was 16 months old (she is 27 now) and it "snowed". My sister scrapped snow off of every car, ledge and the ground to make her a snowman. It was brown from all the dirt and leaves mixed in but it was a real snowman!
“Anyone who imagines that bliss is normal is going to waste a lot of time running around shouting that he’s been robbed. The fact is that most putts don’t drop, most beef is tough, most children grow up to just be people, most successful marriages require a high degree of mutual toleration, most jobs are more often dull than otherwise. Life is like an old time rail journey…delays…sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling burst of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride.” ― Gordon B. Hinckley
