Have you ever wished that time would just SLOW DOWN ALREADY!!! Well, that is exactly how I've been feeling the last little while. My son turns 20 tomorrow and I, to put it mildly, have not been doing well with that fact. Let's just say it has been a little weepy around here for the past couple of days. I think it is a little harder because this is the first birthday of his that I won't be spending with him. As most of you know, he is serving as a missionary for our church. He has been gone for almost a year now and well, I'm just really missing him right now. Don't get me wrong...I don't wish for anything to be different. I KNOW he is soooooo HAPPY and exactly in the right place for him and that makes me soooooo HAPPY, too. That is all a mother wants. It is just a little HARD for ME sometimes and this is one of those times. I can't believe my 4th child is turning TWENTY!!! My baby boy is going to be TWENTY tomorrow! How can this have happened soooo dad gummed fast!! SLOW DOWN TIME I've been wishing! Well, I got my wish. Last night. Time slowed down all right...it came to a dead halt. After a couple hours of restless sleep, at 3:00 am I woke up...and I mean WOKE UP!!! WIDE AWAKE at 3:00 am. Now insomnia and I are old frenemies, but this was exceptionally bad case even for me. After laying there...tossing...turning...staring at the ceiling...quite sure that HOURS have gone by and it is finally time to get up...I check the clock 3:15 am........WHAT?!!! Oh myyyyy I got my wish...time was slowing down...minute by agonizing minute!! Not exactly what I envisioned. I take a bath....I read....I wander aimlessly around the house...I lay there and toss and turn...I do mental exercises that sometimes get me back to sleep...I stare at the ceiling some more...I have the thought (one of THOUSANDS) that well, this is what you wished for...time has slowed down...I check the clock...4:00 a.m. UGH!!! More of the same...UGH!! I have the thought (one again of thousands) this is going to be bad tomorrow...wait amend that...this is going to be bad all week! UGH!! Fall asleep at 5:45 just in time to wake up in a couple of minutes! So to Ty on his birthday tomorrow...I caution...be careful what you wish for...cause it just might come true! To all of you...I hope your wishes come true...well, maybe! BIG HUGS, Cheryl

WELCOME Draconis!!!
Hi all!! I'm so excited to tell you that I am the proud new mama of a little baby dragon named Draconis!! The ever so sweet Lauren has entrusted me with his care!
Thank you Lauren! He is already melting out hearts *in a good way...not a fire breathing way! Here are a few photos of our sweet Draconis adjusting to his new home:
Here he is being welcomed by my grandson Nate:
He said he loved the airplane ride, but he thought he would like his next adventure to be on a train:
His favorite room in the house is the kitchen...especially on the stove. Here he is with his FAVORITE food...some homemade mango chutney (he has good taste...yum!):
I can't wait to share adventures with this sweet little guy! As soon as the weather cooperates he wants to go visit the lava fields!!
Hope you have a heart melting day! Hugs, Cheryl

Nothing to It!!! *CCCB*

The theme is "Nothing to It" and the challenge is.....well, to do just that...add NOTHING to your project... No bows, No lace, No flowers, No buttons. Yep, you heard right, you add NOTHING to it. It's just a simple one dimensional project. Except for me "simple" was anything but simple! haha!! What a challenge. You'll definitely want to play along. The ohhh soooo fabulous Pixie Dust Paperie is generously sponsoring us! Go check out the work by the GD and DT HERE at City Crafter Challenge Blog! They rocked this challenge! Have fun!! GCD Studios DT Call!!!
Can you believe it has been a YEAR since the last GCD Studios DT call?!! Where has time gone?!! Well, my term is almost over now, but I hope to see some of YOU try out and see YOUR fabulous creations with the FANTABULOUS GCD Studios product! They just introduced NINE new lines at Winter CHA! They also won the BEST BOOTH of the entire show!! Wooohooo! You can find ALL the information for the DT call HERE on the GCD Studios blog. I was lucky enough to contribute three layouts to the show working with the new Scandia Jul line,
the Baby Girl line,
and the Fun House Line!
Technically these don't belong to me right now, so I didn't show you the entire los, but just gave you a peek so you get an understanding of how FABULOUS these new lines are. This is without the embellishments even (they, the embellishments, are just over the top and I can't wait to get them!). If at a future date I receive the layouts back I will share them in their entirety (sp.?) I sure hope you all check it out!! I would LOVE to see you on their team!! Hugs, Cheryl
