Let Your Light Shine *CCCB*

Hi all!!! I'm back as hostess this week for the City Crafter Challenge Blog! The theme I have chosen for this week is "Let Your Light Shine". Last weeks challenge proved you were Supa Stars so let me see your light shine this week. Your challenge is to create a project with the word "light" in it or to have an image of something on your project that gives light (sun, moon, lamp, lightbulb, lighthouse, etc.). The sponsor of our challenge this week is Lawn Fawn who have generously donated their "critters of the sea" stamp set that will go to this week's winner. It is sooo cute. As always you will find the challenge here: http://www.citycrafter.blogspot.com/
You will find the link at the right side of my blog. You are going to want to go check out the fab inspiration of the DT and our Guest Designer, the ohhhhh sooooooo fantabulous....Amy Tsuruta!!! Thanks Amy for GD for us this week! Hope to see all your lights shining this week!! Big Hugs, Cheryl

What's The Occasion?! *Digital Doodles*

No matter what the occasion, you can have it covered with Kathy Martin's newest Sentiments stamp set! I'm dubbing this all occasion notecard set Kathy'sKards because not only did I use her new Sentiments stamp set, but I also used another one of her fab stamps on each card. They pair PERFECTLY together! She is so clever to
have created these. There are 14 sentiments in the set and I could have easily (and will be) created 14 very unique cards pairing each sentiment with a different one of her stamps. I hope that no what the occasion is you all are having a fantabulous day! Hugs, Cheryl

It's A Banner Day with **GCD Studios**

I'm back again with my monthly technique project for GCD Studios!! I just love the fun feel of banners that I've been seeing everywhere and I'm here to say let's look outside the triangle for our banners! I love triangle banners, too, but get creative and create a banner wherever your imagination will take you. For these two cards I decided to create a watermelon banner and a flower banner. To make the watermelon banner just use your scalloped circle punch or die and cut out a green circle and use your circle punch or die and cut out a pink circle that you'll attach to your scalloped circle. Cut this in half, add a couple of seeds, string them along and voile a fab watermelon banner!!

Use different colors and just have a scalloped semi circle banner! You can probably figure out the flower banner...just use a punch or die to cut out some flowers...center them with some fabulous brads (like these from GCD Studios), string them along and voile a flower banner!

Do you see the possibities when you think outside the triangle!! I would love to see some of your creative banner ideas! Comment here and send me a link to a project you've made using a fun banner! Hugs, Cheryl

Back to School Fun *Digital Doodles*

It's elementary my dears...Kathy Martin's newest digital stamps are just SO FUN!!!
I can not even tell you how much I enjoyed playing with this "Pencil It In" stamp set! I have a friend who is going back to college and so I made this "back to school" kit for her and an Apple Pie in a Jar. I saw the idea for pie in a jar on a local TV show here called Studio 5 last year. The recipe is my own, as is decorating the jar. I'll reveal the recipe in a while...(it is soooo yummy...based off my apple pie recipe that I shared here with a few tweaks), but I want to play around with some more recipes and I'll share them altogether...so look forward to that. Hope you are having fun this day! Hugs, Cheryl

Just want to wish a happy anniversary to my sweet hubby of 28 years today!!! Wooohoo! We were married at birth...haha! Holy Moley that has been one fast 28 years...time does fly when you are having fun and my hubby definitely makes life FUN!
He has a quick wit and a great sense of humor that always keeps me and our family and anyone who is around him in smiles! Love You Hon!! Thanks for keeping me stable and happy and loved! To make his anniversary card I used Laura's sketch 58, the sketch at 2S4Y this week. If you ever need inspiration to make a card that is the spot to go. I thought I would throw in some these pics from way back when of our wedding announcement photo and one of my favorite pics from our wedding. Has it really been 28 years?! Hugs, Cheryl

And She's Off!!

To high school that is! My baby girl started high school yesterday. I feel like I had a little of a reprieve because high school does not start until 10th grade here.
It is so hard to believe that my baby girl is in 10th grade! Holy Smokes where does time go?! I remember my high school years like yesterday. I just found out about a month ago that Demi Moore went to my high school at the same time I did. She was a year behind me. She only went there her freshman year and I was a sophomore (like my dd is now). I found my sophomore yearbook and there she was! She worked at our student store and I remembered her, but never knew that that girl who worked at the student store grew up to be Demi Moore. So as it turns out, Demi Moore was selling me pencils and snacks in my sophmore year of high school! haha!
I wonder if someone will become famous from my daughter's school...maybe it will be HER! Did any of you go to school with a now celebrity?! Have a great day y'all!
Hugs, Cheryl

E is For Elephant **Digital Doodles**

E is for Elephant and EXTRA cute if you ask me, when it comes to Kathy Martin's latest digi stamp! LOVE it!! I used it here for a baby boy card, but by just changing the colors up I want to use it for a baby girl and then for a circus theme.
I have lots of plans for this stamp. I definitely want to use it to make a gift bag, a lo, and lots more cards. In this particular card I paired it with the balloon from Kathy's bird-day stamp. Hope you all are having a lovely day!
Hugs, Cheryl

Call Me Crazy!!

What do you call a five day trip with seven people in one car...3 of those people being three and under...driving approx. 1,000 miles...a total of 18 hours in the car (one hour only having driven 2 miles...gotta love LA traffic)...one hotel room for those seven people (did I mention that three of them were three and under)? I call it the definition of insanity, but I've always loved being a little insane! Ohhhhhhhh the memories!!! Actually those three little ones did an AMAZING job with all that car riding!! They are champions!! Hope you are all having crazy fun this summer! Hugs, Cheryl
